Megan Tremethick

Megan Tremethick is a Cornish actress, writer and director whose work combines the theatrical intensity of classical screen acting with contemporary psychological horror.

She plays the title role in The Reign of Queen Ginnarra, winner of the 2026 Rondo Award for Best Independent Film. Reviewing her performance, Philip Rogers of Blazing Minds praised “a powerful, constricted performance”, drawing attention to the restraint and menace of her portrayal.

Her studio roles range from Queen Ginnarra’s dynastic ambition to Miss Mutter in Spoiling You and Nurse Charlotte in In the Grip of Terror. She appears alongside Jane Merrow in the revived Amicus anthology and Ian McCulloch in Chronicles of Depression. Her other credits include Black Chariot, Mr Whispers and The Vance Institute.

Tremethick’s creative work extends beyond acting. She co-wrote and directed Spoiling You, which won Best Directorial Debut at the 2026 Romford Horror Festival, and co-directed A Diagnosis of Death for In the Grip of Terror. With Paul William Kelly, she helps lead The B-Team and develop opportunities for new filmmakers.

She has studied voice at RADA and takes an active role in developing the studio’s photography and her screen image. Her interest in theatricality, character and classical glamour shapes both the roles she plays and the films she originates. She also received the British Horror Studio’s audience-voted Best Actress award, recognising her work within the company.
