Megan Tremethick
Megan Tremethick is a Cornish director, writer and actress whose feature directing debut, Spoiling You, won Best Directorial Debut at the 2026 Romford Horror Festival.
Co-written with Lawrie Brewster, Spoiling You turns the intimacy of online ASMR into psychological horror. Tremethick directs Stephen Kerr and Laurence R. Harvey while also playing Miss Mutter. The film explores parasocial relationships, identity and control through performance, sound and the rituals of digital attention.
Her work behind the camera extends to A Diagnosis of Death, which she co-directed for Amicus Productions’ In the Grip of Terror, and segments for For We Are Many 2. She remains involved in the editing and visual development of her projects, treating performance, costume and the construction of an image as connected decisions.
With producer Paul William Kelly, Tremethick helps lead The B-Team, the British Horror Studio’s experimental production initiative. The programme gives emerging filmmakers practical experience through feature production, with films including Mr Whispers and Chronicles of Depression.
Her perspective as a director is informed by her acting career, including the title role in The Reign of Queen Ginnarra, winner of the 2026 Rondo Award for Best Independent Film. Classical cinema, film noir, Japanese horror and theatrical performance inform her approach to intimate, psychologically unsettling films.
